Who am I?

Hi, I'm Andy Bolton a web designer & developer from Leamington Spa, United Kingdom. I’m a lead web designer & developer for one of the UK’s leading ecommerce retailers who operate multiple tailored websites. I also do freelance web design and development work for projects that spark my interest, challenging or exciting.

I’m passionate about the web and love to develop excellent, modern and functional websites. I’ve been creating for the web professionally for over 10 years. I’ve always had a love for the internet and from a young age I was designing and developing websites as a hobby. Throughout the years I have been honing skills and feel I have become pretty good at making things for the web.

A bit more about me

I’m extremely passionate about design and development and have been very fortunate to be able to do both of these as a career. The constant evolution of the web is exciting and it's fun to see what the next few years are going to bring, especially after seeing how much it has evolved in recent years.

I always love to learn of both new and open source technologies that can help further enhance all of our online experience. On a typical day I can be found working with PHP, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.

When I'm not creating websites

I love to spend my time with my amazing and beautiful girlfriend, Emma, my friends and family. Photography is a big passion of mine, I have been an amateur photographer since 2010. I love going on walks, taking photos of picturesque scenes, nature and architecture.

I’m also a big fan of 3D printing, getting my first printer in 2017. I started like most people by printing a lot of useless trinkets, however, more recently I've been using it for more practical purposes. I have used it to repair things around the house as well as making spare parts for tools, camping equipment, etc. Also creating various mounts, brackets and other useful things to help improve life around the house.

I also love to watch TV & films, Red Dwarf being my all time favourite British comedy series, I am proud to be a “Dwarfer”. Playing video games is also a fun way to immerse myself in other worlds and have a break from reality. However, I haven't got to do much of this over the last few years as I may have liked.
